About Kat

About the author: Kat Klockow

Thank you for visiting this side of the website. The about page was getting lonely, your visit has saved it from an untimely deletion.

Now that you are here, let’s introduce that atypical girl Kat Klockow (last name pronounced cloak + oh). She hails from South Bend, Indiana and has been interested in ghost stories and the paranormal since she was still counting her age on her fingers. A few years ago Indiana University thought she had just hung around far too long and that it was high time for her to go. Although she was at first put off by this turn of events, once they gave her two BA degrees (one in Anthropology and the other in Japanese Language and Culture Studies) she went on her merry little way. Fast forward to the present and she now travels the countryside for spooks that people often say are real although science states otherwise.

In a serendipitous moment Kat found a job with Schiffer Publishing, and now she has the opportunity to write books like the ones she read as a child. Her first book with the company is planned for a fall 2010 release.

Currently Kat can be found in any one of the many bookstores or cafes dotting Cincinnati, Ohio. Although she does have a home she finds the atmosphere of a bookstore far more alluring. Which is funny since her own house looks like a bookstore. Somewhere within the cavern of books at home lie her husband and two pet rabbits.

Should you ever need to contact Kat for a speaking engagementconference, or declare hatred for her style of prose, feel free to contact her at katklockow@gmail.com. Depending on how many cups of coffee she has consumed and the time of day she will either get back to you shortly or have already gotten back to you before you wrote the e-mail.

Thank you and good day!
